About the team

The Knowledge Management team at Kinaxis has an exciting opportunity for a Knowledge Platform Architect. This role ensures the ongoing effectiveness of the various portals we use to deliver materials which enable our customers, partners and employees to be successful with RapidResponse. In this role, you’ll be the technical architect of Kinaxis’ customer community, the Kinaxis Knowledge Network (KN) and our training portal, the Kinaxis Learning Center (KLC). Every day, you’ll interact with business stakeholders, content providers and platform developers to define solutions that ensure users can access what they need, when they need it in an environment that puts usability and user experience first. Reporting to the Director of Knowledge Management, you’ll continually innovate our knowledge offerings, through strong communication and interlocks with other Kinaxis teams.

What you will do

  • Define the logic that governs user login, account creation and access to specific areas of the various platforms, ensuring users only interact with appropriate knowledge materials based on defined business rules
  • Monitor compliance with established best practices pertaining knowledge META data to drive maximum searchability of course content
  • Consult with content developers and assist in development efforts to organize materials in such a way that enables just-in-time access to relevant knowledge
  • Partner with stakeholders (both business and technical) to architect the technology necessary to achieve the defined business goals
    • Coordinate with Corporate IT with regards to:
    • Platform feature and functionality development
    • Creation of virtual lab environments for training content
    • Cross-platform integration projects
    • Data maintenance and synchronization efforts
  • Author analytics that evaluate the effectiveness of the knowledge content hosted on the KN and KLC
  • Act as a primary point of contact with the external vendors with respect to the project management of system maintenance or enhancement efforts
  • Resolve platform-related support issues that cannot be addressed during initial triage, escalating when necessary

What we are looking for

  • 5+ years’ experience in information technology, web platform administration and/or technical support in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated attention to detail
  • Experience developing custom components for and/or configuring SalesForce Community Cloud & Service Cloud platforms
  • Experience working with enterprise Learning Management Systems (e.g. AbsorbLMS)
  • Proven experience with web platform integration using APIs (e.g. SOAP and REST)
  • Demonstrated mastery of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience successfully collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders at various levels in the organization
  • Ability to adapt and prioritize as business needs evolve and change
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication
  • Experience presenting to a variety of audiences
  • Self-starter, takes initiative, follows through to completion
  • Proven track record of solving challenging problems
  • Experience presenting logical arguments to convince others to take action
  • Experience negotiating with and working with external vendors and suppliers
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field
  • Experience working with Insight Engine platforms (e.g. Coveo)
  • KCS v6 Practices Certification or equivalent industry experience with Knowledge Centered Services
