Effectively manage agency distribution. Execute agency segmentation strategy. Analyze territory for profitable growth. Expand business opportunities by identifying prospects, evaluating prospect’s position and performance in industry researching and analyzing solutions. Achieve sales objectives by identifying and pursuing prospects, market and niche opportunities, working with Product Development as needed and facilitating activities to support the successful on boarding of new clients. Enhance relationships as requested with existing clients. Maintain ongoing involvement in industry related activities and regularly monitors the market for trends that may impact the company. Develop relationships throughout the industry to position company for future business opportunities. Promote the company in a positive manner to enhance the value of the company brand in the marketplace.

Position & Responsibilities

  • Expand sales in existing clients by identifying client needs through regular touch points
  • Advise clients on policies and operating procedures to ensure functional effectiveness of business
  • Assess market potential of new and existing clients using statistics and expenditures
  • Search for and identify potential new clients through prospecting
  • Make necessary proposals to influence prospects to entertain appointment
  • Research and resolve complex issues and processes
  • Use in-depth knowledge of direct and wholesale agency channels, assigned clients, and industry
  • Use working knowledge of business arrangements, both financial and contractual for assigned clients
  • Identify and understand changes in market trends and fluctuations with minimal assistance
  • Troubleshoot problems or issues to completion with minimal guidance
  • Understands and identifies financial trends and fluctuations with assigned clients and clearly communicates issues and resolutions to clients and channel personnel
  • May require travel in peak time periods
  • Assist Sales & Marketing AVP with projects, meetings, data collection & analysis
  • Responsible for hosting webinars for agency partners and prospects

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5 years in P&C Insurance, personal lines a plus
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrates sound logic and judgement in decision making
  • Extensive technical expertise and in-depth knowledge in assigned lines of business
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office suite
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills and relationship building with general and retail agents
  • May periodically assist in orienting, training, assigning and checking work of lower level Account Executives
  • Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned goals.
  • The ability to download the company VPN software onto personal hardware to enable remote system access as necessary
