As a recognized global Software as a Service leader, Salesforce provides the opportunity for collaboration, eCommerce and marketing campaign outreach for brands of all sizes, industries and locations around the world. We are currently seeking a dynamic and driven Global RFP Specialist to join the RFP Team as part of the Solutions Engineering Shared Services department in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The Global RFP Specialist will be responsible for effectively managing the RFP process and partnering across teams at Salesforce to provide ongoing support for strategic opportunities. Specifically, this person will ensure that responses to RFPs are best-in-class, accurately present our unique product capabilities, and are consistent with our messaging, positioning, and brand guidelines. In this role, you will gain knowledge of and exposure to company products across platforms while working in a supportive team environment with members inside and outside of the U.S.

This is a multi-faceted position critical to overall business segment and industry success. Candidates must be agile leaders, successful project managers, and problem solvers who are equally skilled at effective communication and creative understanding of our product solutions and appropriate positioning. You should be able to interpret marketing, service, and technical requirements from proposal documents to ensure accurate and complete marketing of products that speak relevantly to the needs of a business.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Fulfill written requests for proposals and effectively manage RFP deadlines
  • Lead and participate in impactful projects that drive efficiencies for the team and help support our internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts across the organization to obtain and provide appropriate content for RFPs and various prospect inquiries
  • Organize and maintain product information, content, and other information necessary for the timely, accurate and compelling completion of a response to an RFP
  • Ability to formulate appropriate proposals based on the strategy and needs of the submitting enterprise while following company brand/writing guidelines
  • Ability to review data and see trends in the market and communicate those effectively to other team members


  • Bachelor’s degreeĀ or equivalent experience
  • At least five years of relevant experience in marketing, proposal, and/or RFP writing
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, including time/project management and change management experience
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize competing projects
  • Demonstrate forward thinking and excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong relationship management skills and customer service mindset
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Experience working directly and professionally with all levels of staff (i.e. executives, management, sales, and peers)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce products and services
  • Outstanding and proven skills in decision-making, critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Deadline-focused with ability to work under time constraints while producing high-quality material
  • An understanding of corporate branding and experience in creative design
  • High attention to detail
