Naylor is the leading provider of member engagement and non-dues revenue solutions for more than 1,700 trade associations and professional societies. Naylor helps trade and professional associations drive revenue and engage members through a variety of integrated solutions including print and digital media, event management, SaaS solutions, and association management services.

Naylor is seeking a candidate to join the Marketing team as an Event Marketing Specialist. This role is responsible for planning and executing all logistics, lead generation activities, pre and post-show marketing promotions, and necessary follow up for Naylor’s business development and account management teams. The goals of each show include, but are not limited to, new lead generation for business development, add-on and cross sale lead generation for account management, client and partner engagement, and market awareness.


  • In conjunction with the Director of Marketing, lay out detailed campaign implementation plans to achieve objectives and affect results.
  • Ensure pre-show lead generation campaigns are fully integrated with the Web site, social media, and all other channels to maximize and optimize results.
  • Work with graphic designers and other members of the marketing team as needed on the creation of show materials, including content, banners, and promotional materials such as post cards, brochures, one-sheeters, email campaigns, ads, landing pages, and Salesforce email templates.
  • Write email copy for marketing programs and write and distribute press releases as needed.
  • Work with internal and external resources to develop print, online advertising, and marketing collateral that is consistent with the brand and can be used for sales support and direct marketing initiatives.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to execute any event-related collateral, content, or marketing campaigns as well as lead processing.
  • Access, analyze, and distribute data metrics and activities related to campaign and business objectives.
  • Report results of each event to the director of marketing to help aid in next year planning, focusing on leads generated, engagement with clients and attendees, survey responses from attendees, and other sources.
  • Work with the Director of Marketing and the Senior Account Marketing Manager on execution of various online marketing initiatives
  • Provide additional support to the marketing team by way of other marketing initiatives and special projects, administrative support, and duties.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or related field. Relevant experience may substitute for degree.
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience; previous event marketing, agency or project management experience desired.
  • Experience with CRM software, marketing automation platforms (Salesforce, Marketo) and sales enablement platforms preferred.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and time-management skills; ability to coordinate and oversee multiple projects at one time, and to work independently to see projects through to completion.
  • Extreme attention to detail and ability to organize information is a must.
  • Excellent demonstrated written and oral communication skills; experience with B2B writing and creative preferred.
  • Proficiency in a variety of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Must be an energetic, self-starter who works well independently, and in a team setting. Experience working directly with a sales team is an asset.
  • Positive energy and a sense of urgency.
  • If remote, able to travel at a minimum of nine times per year.

  • Be naturally curious: You have a naturally curious personality that will help you to identify opportunities for improvement within the department, and throughout other departments, with the commitment to work through proposed solutions to deployment.
