We deliver high-touch destination services by connecting relocating employees with a local, on-demand personal concierge via mobile technology. Job Summary

The Director of Operations will join our highly skilled team and lead our efforts in the U.S. outside of the San Francisco Bay Area region. This is a remote role and can be based anywhere in the U.S. An ideal candidate has proven senior management experience in a highly dynamic setting. Your organizational, communication, and leadership skills are second to none and you enjoy developing solutions that push innovative boundaries. You’ll work closely with our Leadership team to strategize and develop long-term plans for Relocity’s success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Collaborate with executive-level management in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans
  • Manage a team of Area Operations Managers
  • Act as point of escalation for customers, both internally and externally
  • Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and cross-functional collaboration
  • Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement when necessary
  • Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity
  • Partner with customers and colleagues to track progress and manage outcomes
  • Proactive outreach to customers informing of potential issues and recommended solutions
  • Develop trusted advisor’ relationships with key stakeholders to ensure full understanding of the customer’s business strategy, culture and metrics for success
  • Serve as your customers’ advocate internally, effectively collaborating cross-functionally to troubleshoot issues and ensure successful delivery
  • Work closely with the Sales, Operational, and HR teams with focus on client and employee retention as well as revenue growth
  • Prepare and conduct Strategic Account Reviews for your region as needed
  • Occasional travel to Relocity events and customer sites (up to 10 percent of the time)

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Participates in the hiring and training of area operations managers
  • Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of area operations managers
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy

  • Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in business and finance

  • Broad knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, technology, and employee management
  • Experience with business development process
  • Superior negotiation skills in both internal and external settings
  • Proven organizational, communication, and leadership skills

Education and/or Technology Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
  • 10+ years leadership role in an operations role
  • Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands
  • Extremely proficient in Google G Suite, Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational process for maximum efficiency and productivity
  • Strong working knowledge of mobility industry regulations and legislative guidelines
