Responsibilities:

  • Directs Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation’s suite of national and international primary prevention services to provide school and college-based substance abuse prevention services across the globe.
  • Leads client relations, program delivery, administrative staff, and regional operations to deliver and expand high-quality prevention programming.
  • Develops and implements strategic initiatives for prevention in alignment with the strategic initiatives of Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation.
  • Fosters relationships with national and international schools, colleges, educators, prevention experts, researchers, and professional organizations.
  • Secures grant and philanthropic funding to expand the reach of programs.
  • Creates department-specific operations plans and annual budgets, meets budgetary targets, and effectively stewards the fiscal resources of the department.
  • Leads the FCD Prevention segment in achieving revenue targets and driving future growth
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality prevention programming
  • Collaborate with marketing colleagues to promote prevention services and raise brand awareness
  • In partnership with leadership and other business units across the Foundation, create, advance, and support short and long-term strategic growth initiatives for prevention services in alignment with Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation’s strategic plans
  • Supervisory duties

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Degree in Social Welfare, Health Management or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in direct supervision of individuals/teams
  • Minimum of 5 years of health and wellness/primary prevention experience specific to promoting the physical, social and emotional health of children and adolescents
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and public-speaking skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters or advanced degree preferred
  • Non-profit management experience
  • Demonstrated media experience
  • Credentialed Prevention Professional (CPP)
