About the Role:

The Data Analyst – Finance/Accounting specializes in delivering actionable insights that drive business value. Organizing and analyzing data from various sources to understand key pain points and opportunities from the numbers, the Analyst will influence decision making. Within this role, team members use a range of tools and methodologies, including statistics and technical expertise, to generate results which highlight useful insights. Each team member requires high-level communications skills, a strong sense of urgency, and focus on how their analyses will impact the business.

What you’ll do:

• Work closely with Engineering, Finance, and Accounting to develop an in-depth understanding of key reporting tools and systems used for internal and external reporting purposes
• Lead data reconciliation efforts and create analytic solutions that are aligned with the various tools and systems being relied upon by Finance and Accounting stakeholders
• Support ad-hoc reporting and data asks for the monthly Revenue Accounting close. Create automated, self-service solutions when possible
• Partner with Revenue Accounting to support external audit & control requirements as it relates to integrity of underlying data used in the process of financial reporting
• Effectively communicate results to teammates and business partners

What you’ll need:

• 4+ years of applied experience working performing data analysis
• Experience creating insights, providing solutions and exposing possible areas of opportunity
• Completed end-to-end data analysis projects
• Experience partnering with Finance/Accounting teams to work on analysis of financial data
• Understanding of basic accounting concepts and external reporting requirements a plus
• Experience using machine learning techniques in analysis a plus
• Required experience using SQL to create data sets
• Basic statistical knowledge and usage to drive business decisions
• Demonstrated experience visualizing (Tableau, PowerBI etc.)
• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (Economics, Mathematics, Applied Statistics, Computer Science, Finance) or equivalent experience
