Our network is powered by the most respected web-native sports journalists. One part of our network needs a new steady hand, and that’s where you come in.

Outsports,the SB Nation blog covering LGBTQ+ issues in sports, is looking for a contributor. The contributor would be responsible for the following duties:

  • Contribute an agreed-upon number of posts on LGBTQ+ issues in sports each week. These can include columns, news coverage, athlete profiles, and more.

Our best contributor candidates will:

  • Have a passion for LGBTQ-related sports content and news and is already familiar with Outsports.
  • Be able to produce and edit clean copy.
  • Be comfortable working in a remote environment.
  • Previous sportswriting experience is preferred.

This is a contractor position that pays a monthly stipend. Some daytime availability is preferred. To apply, please submit a resume detailing any previous writing or management experience, a cover letter explaining why you’re the best fit for the role, and a sports-related writing sample.
