RetailMeNot / Ziff Media Group Shopping is looking for an experienced Brand & Social Media Manager to join our Audience Development team. This is a very hands-on and creative role with the opportunity to grow and engage audiences within the deal and shopping community. In addition to managing our day-to-day social activity, this person will play a key role in defining the strategy, messaging and communication guidelines for our portfolio of brands.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop a deep understanding of our portfolio of brands, audiences and their needs in order to develop compelling communications and campaigns to engage and grow target audiences
  • Write briefs that outline audience insights, communication objectives, creative needs and goals for marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Serve as a steward of information about each brand across the portfolio to create alignment and ensure consistency in how we talk about our brands internally and externally
  • Own the social media community building across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and emerging platforms from strategy, to execution and KPI tracking for Ziff Media Group – Shopping brands
  • Design and implement social media strategy and guidelines that align with our overarching audience and business goals
  • Manage day-to-day posting on ZMG Shopping social properties with support from our Content teams
  • Write and edit engaging, relevant content that quickly hooks our audiences and encourages action
  • Collaborate closely with content, product and paid marketing to amplify the reach of our content across all campaigns and programs
  • Analyze and report on key metrics; adjust strategy as needed
  • Be a steward of best practices in messaging, grammar, and writing for social media
  • Help educate and elevate the team’s understanding of social media best practices
  • Stay on top of trends and tools in the social media space
  • Monitor category trends and competitor activity

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in a brand, integrated marketing, campaign management or general marketing role
  • 3+ years of experience in social media marketing, ideally within the consumer marketing and/or ecommerce space
  • Prior experience driving social strategy and day-to-day execution in a cross-functional organization
  • Exceptional writing skills and ability to translate complex topics into simple, digestible, buyer-oriented copy
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative team player with great interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Ability to deliver feedback thoughtfully and receive it gracefully
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
