Position Title: Accounting Associate

Location: Remote

Schedule: Full Time | Monday to Friday

Compensation: $42,000-45,000 Annual Salary (based on candidate experience)

Job/Position Overview:Works alongside and supports other members of the Accounting Team in the day-to-day financial needs of the organization. The Accounting Associate position is a unique opportunity to bring your skills, talents, and passions to the table and be an impactful part of the work that we do.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

  • Data input into multiple systems related to accounts payable, banking transactions, and credit card maintenance.
  • Accountable for weekly accounts payable cycle – data entry, reporting, coordinating approvals
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure that accounting records are accurate and timely.
  • Corresponding and interacting with vendors/suppliers and governmental bodies
  • Monitoring contracted vendor payments for appropriate rates and/or caps
  • Managing outgoing rent and lease payments
  • Supporting special projects as needed.
  • Contribute to a high-performing culture, focused on partnering with internal clients as we inspire and empower change
  • Adhere to departmental policy and procedure
  • Works closely with all members of team to ensure positive working relationships
  • Must have the ability to express ideas clearly, concisely, convincingly, and effectively when addressing an audience
  • To consistently exercise good judgment and adequate emotional stability in evaluating situations and making decisions despite the pressures of deadlines or the occurrence of unexpected stressful events
  • Participate on committees and in professional meetings as necessary for the functions of the department

Education & Experience:

  • 1-2 years of previous accounting experience required
  • Experience with accounting software
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in accounting preferred

  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time-management
  • High level of comfort with technology systems
