About the role You will steward and grow a portfolio of high-value philanthropic supporters, deepening relationships, securing multi-year gifts, and delivering strategic value that advances Red Cross priorities. You will bring strong relationship experience, a growth mindset, and the ability to translate program needs into compelling philanthropic opportunities.
What you will do
Manage, grow, and retain a portfolio of high-value philanthropic supporters
Identify, qualify, and cultivate new prospects using research, insights, referrals, and targeted networking
Build strong relationships to secure sustainable funding aligned to organisational priorities
Lead and support high-quality proposals, pitches, and appeals; tailor cases for support and impact reporting
Work closely with Programs, Finance, and Marketing to shape fundable opportunities and measure impact
Maintain accurate CRM records, pipelines, and forecasts; deliver against annual income and engagement KPIs
Stay across philanthropic and sector trends to inform strategy and identify new opportunities
Uphold legal, ethical, and brand standards in all fundraising and stewardship activity
This role sits within the Philanthropy team and may be required to support the Trusts & Foundations portfolio as needed.
What you will bring
Demonstrated success in philanthropy or relationship fundraising, including securing major gifts and/or competitive grants
Strength in portfolio management, prospecting, qualification, and moves management across diverse stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and present to senior audiences
Disciplined planning and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet multiple deadlines
An awareness off legal, financial, and ethical considerations in philanthropic giving
A collaborative, proactive style that builds a culture of philanthropy and strong internal partnerships
