Overview
Position: Construction & Renovation Coordinator
Location: U.S. Remote
Pay: $26.00 - $32.00/hr DOE
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Operations Manager of Renovation and Construction, the Coordinator is a subject matter expert responsible for the daily management and operational flow of NAF's construction and renovation loan pipeline. This role is critical in ensuring a smooth, compliant, and efficient process from loan structuring through post-closing draw administration and final loan modification. The Coordinator will serve as a central point of contact for Loan Officers, Operations staff, builders, and borrowers.
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Front-End Loan Structuring & Guidance:
- Serve as the go-to resource for Loan Officers, providing expert guidance on structuring loans for all NAF Renovation and Construction products, including:
- Construction-to-Perm (One-Time and Two-Time Close): Conventional, FHA, USDA and VA OTC programs.
- Renovation Loans: FHA, VA, USDA, and Conventional
Pre-Closing Document & Condition Review:
- Perform detailed reviews of all construction and renovation documents to verify that the information requested by the underwriter has been uploaded and is correct.
- Scrutinize and validate all conditioned items prior to resubmission to Underwriting, ensuring readiness for condition clearance.
- Communicate any discrepancies, errors, or missing documentation directly to the appropriate parties for correction via the "Renovation/Construction Review Form" tab in Encompass.
Post-Closing Project & Draw Management:
- Act as the primary liaison with our third-party construction management company to obtain all required documentation for builder draw requests.
- Clearly communicate draw fund disbursement requirements, procedures, and timelines to all builders to manage expectations and ensure a smooth funding process.
- Partner with the Accounting department on all construction draw disbursements and the timely payment of any outstanding third-party invoices.
Qualifications
Desired Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 2 years Mortgage experience
- Renovation and construction loan experience
- Builder and Contractor Review experience
- Attendance, promptness, professionalism, the ability to pay attention to detail, cooperativeness with co-workers and management, and excellent customer
- Mortgage System and platform experience - Encompass, Ellie Mae, Etc.
Work Authorization: Must be able to verify identity and employment eligibility to work in the U.S.
