Job Description:
Rightangled Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented Remote Assistant Accountant to support our growing healthcare organisation. In this role, you will manage financial transactions, oversee debtor and creditor processes, prepare monthly financial reports, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers and contributing to the financial health of a dynamic organisation while working remotely.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
- Prepare and analyse monthly financial management reports, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Reconcile Stripe receipts with Shopify sales reports.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting to support financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures, including quarterly VAT returns.
- Monitor and record employee expenses and reimbursements, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Process payroll by preparing accurate payroll data and ensuring timely disbursements.
- Assist with external audits and provide documentation as required.
- Provide ad-hoc financial support as needed.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience.
- Master’s in Accounting/Finance, ACCA Affiliate, or part-qualified ACCA.
- Proven experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of UK accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Proficient in Xero and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
